The USA Patriots Amputee Veterans Softball Team is proud to announce the addition of Evan Wood, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. Evan brings a wealth of experience in organizational leadership, strategic development, and team-building to the USA Patriots as they continue their mission to inspire and empower through adaptive athletics.
Evan currently serves as the Vice President of People & Strategy at Fort Wayne Metals, where he leads People Operations, Business Excellence, and Strategy. With a career spanning management consulting, academia, IT, and financial services, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for developing high-performing teams and fostering continuous improvement to achieve organizational success.
“Evan’s diverse expertise, coupled with his deep personal connection to our mission, makes him an invaluable addition to our Board of Directors,” said Rich Cress, Executive Director of USA Patriots. “His leadership in strategy and passion for empowering adaptive athletes will be instrumental as we expand our programs and inspire the next generation of athletes.”
Evan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cedarville University, an MBA from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. from Indiana State University. He resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his wife, Lisa, and their four children. His youngest daughter, Cami, has been actively involved with USA Patriots’ Kids Camp and Alumni Camp, reinforcing the family’s commitment to adaptive athletics and inclusion.
