Josh was born in Ocala, Florida and joined the Marines right after high school in 2004. Josh served in the US Marines as a combat engineer. 10 days before he was supposed to come home, he was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED). The results of this event left Josh with a shattered lower back and tore his hand to shreds, leaving him with the loss of his middle finger on the left hand. After 4 years and 17 reconstructive surgeries, he was able to use his hand again. Josh currently resides in Pace, Florida where he enjoys playing softball and golf, and most of all, being a father. Josh and his wife welcomed their first son in March of 2022 and Josh says he has been the biggest blessing yet.
