WELCOME TO THE HOME OF the USA PATRIOTS
America’s Amputee Softball Team
The USA Patriots, formerly known as the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to bring athletic and veteran amputees together to promote the benefits of inclusive sport and therapeutic recreational activities.
America’s Amputee Softball Team travels the country playing able-bodied teams in competitive and exhibition softball games, bringing our unique brand of softball, courage, and inspiration to communities nationwide. The team is comprised of competitive, athletic veterans who have lost limbs in combat and non-combat related injuries. While some are still in the service, others are attending college thanks to the Post-9/11 GI Bill and others have moved on to new careers. These individuals continue to push the limits of modern prosthetics to inspire, motivate and offer a place for camaraderie and healing on and off the field of play and to continue Serving Beyond the Uniform.

This past week as our 9 year old, Annie Kate, spent a week at the Wounded Warrior softball Camp. The two common threads, of the 20 kids...

This is special and what a way for these kids to have relatable teachable moments! Plus – as a parent – I was grateful to add to my list of constantly learning! These kids (and...

As sad as we are to leave, I am excited to take this gift we have been given and continue to build bonds with those that have impacted us and to reach out to resources that we didn’t even...

Sophia is leaving this camp with a higher level of self-confidence, knows now there many other kids just like her and has learned that no matter what challenges she has to never give up… ‘Life Without A Limb Is Limitless’.”
Read more“Thank you WWAST! We had a phenomenal week with you all and we came home with warm hearts, lots of memories, new friends, and resource referrals. Gage, Matt, and I were able to experience a life changing camp and experience California and its beauty all at the same time. Read more"The kids all had smiles on their faces and that meant everything to me. I know the team got a lot out of the camp and maybe even more than what the kids did. WWAST isn’t just showing people we are able to overcome obstacles in life, it’s about giving back to others and that is what this camp has done…It’s hard to express in words how much this...
