Lance Corporal (Retired) Josh Wege was born in 1989 and is from Campbellsport, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 2008 and has a combat tour to Afghanistan in 2009 serving as a military policeman. Six months into the deployment his light armored vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device rendering him a bilateral below the knee amputee. Lance Corporal (Retired) Wege has been awarded a Purple Heart and the Navy Achievement Medal.
