Bio

Roberto earned the Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge during his service. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Roberto joined the US Army in 2003 as an Infantryman. In August of 2005,  Roberto was shot in the chest by an enemy sniper, leaving him paralyzed. Roberto Cruz remained in the hospital for two years. After two years, Roberto was able to walk out of the hospital on his own two feet. His left arm remains paralyzed, including his hand, which happens to be his dominant hand. After suffering this injury, Roberto was medically retired from the Army.
