Lance Corporal (Retired) Tim Horton was born in 1984 and is from Sulphur Springs, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 2003 and has a combat tour to Iraq in 2004 as Mortarman. He was injured when the vehicle he was riding in struck an improvised explosive device rendering him a below the knee amputee. He has been awarded the Purple Heart. Lance Corporal (Retired) Horton currently resides in San Antonio, Texas where he is an Alumni Manager for the Wounded Warrior Project.
