USA Patriots Veteran Athletics Inc. Annual Report

USA Patriots Veteran Athletics today released its 2025 Annual Impact Report, celebrating a year ofgrowth across national programs while announcing a 2026 schedule of competitions, camps, exhibitions, and wellness events.

“Now that we’ve officially closed the books on 2025, we’re proud to share how donors fueledlifechanging opportunities for amputee athletes—and how that momentum is already powering our 2026 season,” said Rich Cress, Executive Director, USA Patriots Amputee Athletics. “Because of oursupporters, more athletes found community, confidence, and purpose through sport.”

2025 Year in Review — Program Highlights

Spring Training — Lakeland, FL (Hosted by the Detroit Tigers)

20 amputee athletes trained at Tiger Town, starting the week with golf instruction and finishing with
softball training to prepare for the competitive season. Spring Training remains one of the organization’s
most transformative experiences, combining coaching, team culture, and renewed confidence.

Tour of the States —Softball & Golf

USA Patriots traveled nationwide for exhibitions, tournaments, and community events that spotlight
amputee athletics and inspire audiences.

2025 Tour Stops:

Fort Myers, FL; Closter, NJ; Long Island, NY; Bismarck, ND (McQuade Tournament Champions); Oregon,
OH; Fort Wayne, IN; Oklahoma City, OK (Special Olympics North America Softball NIT); Huntsville, AL;
and Madeira Beach, FL.

Kids Camp — Bismarck, ND

Children with limb loss experienced a week of softball, mentorship from veteran athletes, and
unforgettable activities—including parades, a rodeo, and a trip to the Berger Buckin’ Bull Ranch. Kids
Camp helps campers build confidence and form meaningful, lifelong friendships.

Alumni Camp — Richmond, VA

Former Kids Camp participants reunited to play ball, reconnect, and celebrate growth—a fullcircle
experience that reflects the longterm impact of the USA Patriots community.

Health & Wellness Program — Launched in 2025

A new initiative encouraging yearround, active living. USA Patriots athletes participated in the Madeira
Beach Fire Department “Legends Never Die” 5K and the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York
City, reinforcing healthy habits beyond softball and golf.
Tom Carlo Scholarship Fund — Initiated in 2025
USA Patriots began building the Tom Carlo Scholarship Fund to honor Tom Carlo’s legacy of service and
support. The fund will provide financial assistance to young amputees for higher education,
vocational/technical training, or specialized adaptive sports equipment. First awards will be made as
fundraising milestones are reached.

How Donor Support Was Used in 2025

Thanks to the generosity of donors and partners, USA Patriots ensured athletes could access programs
regardless of financial barriers. In 2025, donations supported:

  • Travel — Airfare and ground transportation to all programs and events
  • Lodging — Safe, accessible accommodations during camps and tournaments
  • Meals — Nutritious food for athletes, coaches, and campers
  • Camps — Field access, equipment, mentorship, and youth experiences
  • Prosthetic Care — Assistance with essential prosthetic needs for safe participation

“Your gifts don’t sit on the sidelines—they get athletes to the field, keep them nourished, and give them
the resources to compete safely,” added Cress.

Welcoming New Donors

To every supporter who joined the USA Patriots family in late 2025—welcome. Your yearend generosity
helped close critical gaps and positioned our athletes to start 2026 stronger than ever.

Thank You to Our Partners & Hosts

USA Patriots extends deep appreciation to Marucci and Victus Sports, MLB, the Detroit Tigers
organization, Special Olympics North America, McQuade Tournament organizers, and the host cities and community committees across all tour stops. Your collaboration helps our athletes shine on fields and in
